Today I wanted to share an outfit I wore a couple of weeks ago. I was going to post it then, but since Spring was around the corner, I wanted to highlight the upcoming trends. However, I feel this outfit works just as much for Fall/Winter(well California Winter) as well as the chillier days of Spring.
Originally I had worn this outfit without the tights, but it got chilly so I decided to throw them on. I love that the outfit is appropriate for just about anything. I wore it to school as well as to the errands I did that day. It was comfortable and effortless without making me feel like I was overdressed or frumpy. I also love the fact that I was able to do Day to Night with it. It is an outfit I would wear on a date or even to casual Friday(if I worked in a more corporate setting). I felt very Street Chic.

Here are some detailed pics:

My makeup was my usual foundation routine(I can make a video if you want) and I used the Pink Pearl Mac pigment I posted about a few Makeup Mondays ago. I just love how it all came together. It made this dress playful and fun instead of just a plain black basic dress.

What do you think about my outfit? Is it something you would wear or what changes would you make to recreate it with your own spin? Let me know in the comments below :)

Makeup Monday: MAC X Proenza Schouler

{Source: Style.com}
Today's Makeup Monday is all about the upcoming MAC collection that is a collaboration between the Makeup brand and the fashion label Proenza Schouler. The whole reason I even found out about this collection is the fact that I was paging through the latest Allure issue earlier today. Now that I've seen it, I'm obsessed and feel like pinning every thing I can come across regarding the collection! Thankfully it seems I won't have to wait soon to get my hands on it :)

The collection will be coming out on April 3rd which is only 3 days away!!!  As you can see, it includes lipsticks, face powders, nail polishes, eye liners, lip pencils and face brushes. Can we take a moment to appreciate the colors?! I personally can't wait to get my hands on the face powders. I got an ombre blush/face powder from their Daphne Guinness collar a few years back, so I'm happy to see ombré style face powders again!  Also love how girly and bright, the collection seems to be. Love that it's a reflection of the fashion label's fashion designs rather then their usually softer runway makeup look. Here are some more up close pictures:

Also I forgot to mention how much I love the packaging! MAC always seems to have some of the best packaging when it comes to their collabs! Also I realize I buy more from their limited items than their regular ones LOL. Anyway, back to the packaging, I love how summer-y it looks and makes me feel. It's very surfer chic, which as a California girl, makes me happy, even though I can't surf LOL.

So what do you think? Will you be trying out the collection? I know I will be waiting anxiously for my paycheck so I can run to the nearest store/computer with WiFi and snatch up the blushes. Let me know what you think in the comments below! Can't wait to see what you want from the collection.

Love,
Astrid

Makeup Monday: MAC Pigments

{Source: Pinterest}
So I know it is closer to Tuesday than it is Monday, but this post was suppose to go up earlier, just school kept me busy today, as always. Anyway, I wanted to talk about my newest makeup obsession: MAC Pigments! I currently got my hands on the one pictured above earlier this month and have been using it almost everyday now.

It is in the shade "Pearl Pink" and it caught my eye when I saw one of the girls at the MAC store in Glendale wearing it as I was browsing the store. Now, I've always been curious about pigments, especially because they come in all kinds of different colors, but was afraid to try them since the powder is all loose and it seemed like it would be messy and complicated to wear. Thankfully the salesgirl instructed me to just dab and sweep it on and to tone it down or play it up with "regular" eyeshadow. Now I am so glad I went for it. What do you think about pigments?

P.S. This will be one of the weekly features I talked about earlier. Mondays will be MakeUp Mondays  unless I do a Must-Have, Must-See, Must-Read(you get the picture) instead. Opinions appreciated :)

With love in pigmentations,
Astrid
